I love words… there is so much we can do with them; make them rhyme, inspire people with them, make others laugh or cry; communicate with people on so many levels…
I enjoy reflecting on different situations I have found myself in, or have observed, and writing about them. I also like writing about random silly things, or anything that I find amusing, wacky or downright ridiculous. I then love to share them so that I can bring some laughs to your day too. Humour is what gets me through the day, and I think we all need a little laughter in our lives.
I did decide to write this anonymously as I am rather shy, so I used my middle name of Edwina for the name of this blog, which I am getting used to being called now – and I like it! (Edwina was the name of one of my Mum’s mad aunties…it makes more sense now I bet)! However my actual name is Judy, so take your pick!
I have a husband (in his 50’s and well on the way to becoming a Grumpy Old Git, hence the nickname Mr Grump), a 12-year-old daughter (she has Asperger’s, is extremely bright, and feisty, but who also has inherited my clumsy gene. That’s why I decided to refer to her as Miss Hap, bless her), and a very cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Roxy.
I thought it would be fun to share snippets my life as an average, everyday, working woman, who tries to see the funny side of things, as I barge through each day, trying to bring a bit of order to the chaos, as so many of us do.I feel that a little bit of humour goes a long way in life, and turning my embarrassing, socially awkward, or silly moments into a few shared words might make someone smile. or if I am really lucky, roar with laughter.

Feel like I’m finally connecting to a community, you know? I have a self hosted blog, so the connection tools aren’t quite the same, despite the other benefits.

I do know what you mean. I have so far managed to have got a lovely little community, which is really supportive and friendly. Well at least we have managed to connect even if you have a self-hosted site. (you’ll have to excuse my ignorance on some of the technical terms. I am still quite new to blogging and all it;s jargon)!!v

It’s actually very similar to other social media outlets so far, but I do prefer that it’s based on being able to post something far more personal. It’s not limited int he same way as other social media outlets and seems to promote a more talkative community if you interact and engage with the right people.
