2-Day AI Workshop for Faculty at UBAS
"Exploring the Future of Education with AI – from ChatGPT to Grok!"
The IT Department, Lahore University of Biological & Applied Sciences (UBAS) successfully organized a 2-Day AI Workshop for Faculty on 29–30 September 2025 at the IT Lab UBAS/LMDC.
The workshop aimed to empower faculty with AI fundamentals, tools, immersive learning applications, and responsible adoption practices to transform teaching, research, and academic productivity.
Facilitators:
Mr. Zamir Mushtaq (Director IT) – Core sessions (AI Fundamentals, Tools, Teaching, Adoption & Ethics)
Mr. Hamza Farooq (Lecturer) – Specialized sessions (AI in Research, VR/AR & Immersive Learning)
The sessions included hands-on practice with AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Meta AI, Grok), prompt engineering, AI in teaching & assessments, research writing, immersive learning with VR/AR, and responsible AI.
The workshop concluded with faculty presentations and a certificate distribution ceremony, graced by the university leadership.
