what i really fear about lost is that it'll end the same way as the matrix. as in, beautifully, spectacularly promising in the beginning, leaving a pulsing trail of thousands of fans wildly speculating and coming up with the most clever theories. only to progress slowly and surely into an ending of complete bullshit, highly unsatisfying answers and thirteen million loose ends.

i was going to write about how watching the video for kings of convenience's cayman islands moved me almost to fucking tears, but i would never be able to describe how the soft and melancholy melody, eirik's low voice, erlend's concentration on his guitar, and the multitude of dim, soft-yellowy-glowing lamps, how it all combined to really take my breath away.
