Saving group ministry

SAVING GROUPP MINISTRY

Aim/ overall goal

A primary aim of the Saving group ministry is to have local churches equipped to start savings groups for holistic ministry in their community.
The Anglican Church of Rwanda is excited to support the local church to build its capacity by sharing the love of Christ as the church provide biblical training, saving services and loans that restore the dignity and break the cycle of poverty.
Activities include orienting and equipping local pastors, training local church facilitators, and continuing holistic transformation through the ongoing activities of the savings group.

 

Specific Objectives:

  • To promote the saving culture in the community
  • To mobilize members to save from their incomes
  • To train members in business skills and management
  • To provide an opportunity for each of its members to improve his economic and social conditions.
  • To ensure progress of members by educating them continuously on proper use of available resources.

Early Childhood Development

Vision

The vision of ECD in the context of Rwanda is that all infants and young children will fully achieve their development potential: mentally, physically, socially and emotionally

Goal

The ultimate goal of ECD program is improve young children’s capacity to develop and learn, develop a child who is ready for school has a combination of character. He/ She is socially and emotionally healthy, confident and friendly, has a good peer relationship, tackles challenges tasks and persists with them, have good language skill and communication, and listens to instruction and is attentive.

Objectives

  1. To motivate children of rural areas towards school and education
  2. To facilitate pre-primary school education to the rural community children where the chance of getting education facilities is less.
  3. Increase the capacity of rural community to support young children – aged 3 to 6 – to thrive and develop to their full physical, emotional and cognitive potential.
  4. Build skills capacity of parents and caregivers of young children to provide appropriate care and support for the early childhood development at the home family to children- aged under 6 years.
  5. To reduce incidence of child abuse raping and kidnapping, welfare needs and reduce productive services costs
