Founded in 1972, Dyslexia Ireland (formerly known as the Dyslexia Association of Ireland) is a registered charity (RCN 20025335) which works with and for people affected by dyslexia and or dyscalculia, by providing information, offering appropriate support services, engaging in advocacy and raising awareness of dyslexia and dyscalculia.
Our vision is a dyslexia friendly society where all people with dyslexia and dyscalculia are enabled to fulfill their potential, where every child and adult with dyslexia and/or dyscalculia has access to appropriate identification and support to achieve their full potential in education, training, employment and all aspects of life.

Dyslexia Ireland is a membership based Association currently representing over 2,500 families and individuals all over Ireland. Its membership also includes teachers, psychologists and other professionals. Dyslexia Ireland currently has a nationwide network of 20+ Workshops offering local community based services.
An information service is provided from the association’s national office. Information is available over the phone, email, online messaging, post and in person. Dyslexia Ireland has a team of educational psychologists who provide assessments for both dyslexia and dyscalculia at our national office in Dublin city centre and online. We work with children, young people and adults.
A range of different courses is available including courses for parents, teachers, tutors in FE and HE, and workplaces, and adults with dyslexia. Bespoke training is also sometimes available on request.
Dyslexia Ireland runs a network of workshops delivering afterschool classes to children and young people with dyslexia across Ireland. We also offer our online Readable Project book groups. A listing of tutors who offer private one-to-one tuition for both children and adults is also available to our members.
Dyslexia Ireland engages in advocacy work with government departments and agencies, and relevant organisations, to highlight the needs of people with dyslexia and advocating for changes to make Ireland a more dyslexia-friendly country.
