Shortening the Distance to Interoperability: Meeting Common Needs Across Technologies and Cultures in Higher Education
Barcelona, Spain
May 04, 2026 to May 05, 2026
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Hosted by Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) | In collaboration with 1EdTech and DXtera
This intimate, invitation-only convening brings together a select group of institutional leaders, technology specialists, and practitioners to do what no single organization can do alone — align. Over two days, participants will explore the convergence of EduAPI, CampusAPI, OpenEU, and the European Higher Education Interoperability Framework, examining where these efforts complement one another, where gaps remain, and how a shared vision for standards for API integration can be forged from the collective wisdom in the room
Attendees will learn from successes and setbacks across cultures and systems, celebrate progress already made, and chart meaningful next steps as a community — with the shared aim of advancing standards that serve not only the education sector, but the broader ecosystem beyond it.
This is not a conference. It is a working gathering of trusted voices committed to reducing confusion in the market, strengthening institutional agency, and improving the experience of every learner through consistent, scalable integration standards.
