Poetry Quilt

A modern abstract quilt in mushroom and pink hanging on the wall with a smaller version held in front of it.

I just finished my second version of a quilt that I am calling Poetry. I made the smaller size that I wrapped around stretchers, and then a 29″ square. I decided to use matchstick quilting on the larger one and a facing instead of binding this time.

I feel like this design speaks to something about being whole or complete (circular shape) even if not smooth and perfect and that having it’s own beauty.

  1. This is so beautiful, Amy. Your quilts always strike a thoughtful and reflective note with me. I guess that’s what art is all about, to make you see the world a little differently.
