Story summary:
After a stroke of fate, Jensen Ackles leaves his old life as a successful music composer behind and spends his time alone in a lonely cabin. Every few weeks he drives down to the town with its oddball inhabitants to stock up on food. On his last trip before the announced blizzard, someone hides under the tarp of his truck. Jared thinks Jensen can get him out of town, but instead he ends up with him in his cabin. What secret led Jared to crawl into Jensen's truck? Warnings: Minor Character Death, mention of abuse, mention of drug use.

Notes on the art:
Digitally coloured very freehand pencil drawings, in a more simplified comic book style. I tried to keep the art style more cohesive. I don’t think the images are very spoilery, but if you want to play it safe, read the story first, it’s soo good! And moving.

Story summary:
Jared the youngest High-Born heir of the Padalecki House. They specialize in making warm fabrics and cloth for breeches and tunics. A waterwheel and woolybeasts are essential for this. Jensen is Jared's valet/slave. His Tending sen. In this society the word sen is used for an enslaved one and their names reflect that status. Drone sen wear pendants around their neck with a number because their Masse (master) wouldn't know their names anyway.

It was great to do the art for “The Tending sen” by tcs1121. My author was super-encouraging and gave me free hands to do anything I wanted. There was so much in the story I would have wanted to draw, but in the end, like always, didn’t have the time. As tcs reminded me, ‘this is supposed to be fun’ – and it was 😊

Notes on the art:
Digitally coloured (very ‘freehand’) pencil drawings and, as before, I wish I’d been able to go for a more cohesive look. I really have a lot to learn about character design, so I covered up my shortcomings with a lot of woolybeast sheep, which I *loved* doing.

Jensen is the Owner and Executive Chef at Laurel, an upscale restaurant in a quaint New England Town. Jared is a business school drop-out who inherits a food truck, names it Bish, Bash, Bosh, and starts selling the only thing he knows how to cook: tacos. It helps that he’s secured a permit for one of the choicest locations available at the end of the town green, across the street from that fancy-pants place, Laurel.

In the challenge, I got to do the art for a most delightful story, Bish, Bash, Bosh by blackrabbit42! I really wish I would have had more time to do everything, because there were so many more images in my head. But, you’ll just have to read the story and see for yourself :).

Techy notes on the art:
This submission definitely signals the parting of ways between me and my drawing tablet (‘who needs pen-pressure anyway?’ – well, I do, clearly).
So, the cover art is digital. The rest of the art is pencil drawings, in somewhat varying styles, which I enjoyed doing, but should have probably gone for a more cohesive look. I also took some liberties with the food truck, because the Citroen H van is just so cool-looking :).

I had the opportunity to take part in this year's bigbang challenge after all - as a BB pinch hit artist, for a wonderful vampire fic!

Notes on the art: I continue my quest into the world of hues, values and planes of the face. The line drawing is in pencil, the rest is done in photoshop (with a somewhat bust tablet and stylus). Biggest challenge, apart from trying to get even a fleeting likeness to Jensen, was making the vampire bat look cute ;)

Story summary: Special Agent Jensen Ackles is up to his neck in trouble, and he isn't sure if the rookie agent the Powers That Be have saddled him with is going to help him or just make things worse.  It's not that the kid isn't eager to please, it's just that he's totally clueless about what he's up against.  It doesn't help that Ackles isn't quite sure either!  Fortunately, or maybe not, he has a couple of other allies, including a brainwashed pathologist, a weed smoking techie, and a truly innovative medic from Walter Reed.  That ought to be enough to save the world as long as the ghosts keep away.

Participating in the spn_j2_bigbang has been one of my very favourite things to do, and this year was no exception; ‘Compulsion’ by candygramme and spoonlessone is a great story, with horror, humour and hot sex, and it has been so much fun to work with :)

In my art for ‘Compulsion’ I wanted to take the plunge and do things differently from before, that is, have less focus on lines and more on planes and values. To make it a bit easier for myself, I left out colour ;) The result is somewhat ‘noir’, or grey, and perhaps also creepy, but I hope that there’s nevertheless a nod to the humorous side of the story.

Title: The Debts You'll Never Pay

Summary:
Castiel convinces Claire to stay with him after Randy is killed. He quickly learns she's been plagued for years by vivid dreams of the time she was his vessel. Being possessed by an angel when she was still a child radically alters Claire's development in ways even Castiel doesn't understand. His brief possession of her leaves her depressed and longing to be filled with his grace again. At the same time, she's angry at him, blaming him for tearing apart her family. Claire tries to fill the emptiness with drugs and alcohol and Castiel makes the decision to remove some of her memories to ease the war going on inside of her. Only, deep down, her subconscious remembers and she still feels drawn to him in unexpected ways.

Warnings: Depression, drug addiction, dubcon/noncon, incest, angst, pseudo-PTSD.

Even though parts of this story were maybe a little outside my comfort zone, it was nevertheless a rewarding reading experience thanks to Clavally's superb skills as an author, and I’ve been very happy to do the art for the story. I hope I've managed to convey at least a little of what Claire goes through.

Summary: While helping Bobby clean up his attic, Dean accidentally releases an ancient Japanese creature, the twisted and vengeful, dream-eating baku. But the curse on the sealing scroll is that he will slowly lose his luck and life force within 108 days to power the baku's pulling Japanese demons into an unprepared and unknowing new American world. That is, if the loss of luck doesn't just kill him first. In the process, gets a new bird buddy, the tengu Castiel, a sarcastic sidekick, the kitsune Gabriel, and has to save the world before the baku steals dreaming from humanity and drives the world mad. In the end, the Righteous man rises to the challenge of killing the baku through a love he never imagined or saw coming.

The story 'Dreameater' by animediva was so huge and so rich in imagery that there were moments when I almost felt panicky. Luckily those moments were short-lived and the rest of the time I really enjoyed doing the art for this amazing story. Some of these pictures may seem a bit puzzling, but it will all become clear (hopefully) when you read the story -- so off you go! :)
