Our Philosophy
Just because non-surgical rejuvenation is less invasive than surgical approaches, that doesn’t mean patients should receive care that is any less specialized or thoughtful.
At both the Chicago and Winnetka Aesthetic Studio locations, it is our team’s priority to provide patients with results that are balanced and aligned with their aesthetic preferences.
When you come into one of our offices for treatment, Dr. Phelps and his team of aesthetic nurses will create a treatment plan designed just for you. No two patients are exactly alike, and this philosophy is reflected in every single procedure we perform. Not only do our patients feel supported throughout the treatment process, but they also receive outstanding, unparalleled care throughout the consultation phase, the planning phase, and the recovery phase.
About Non-Surgical Rejuvenation
So, what exactly is non-surgical rejuvenation? This is a broad term referring to a class of procedures that is less extensive and less invasive, unlike surgical approaches that usually require incisions, excision, or similar techniques. Non-surgical rejuvenation offers a convenient, effective solution for patients who want to refresh their appearance without the recovery associated with surgery. It is an excellent choice for busy individuals, those interested in prejuvenation, and patients who are not candidates for more invasive procedures or anesthesia.
At Chicago Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, we offer a full suite of non-surgical solutions that can improve concerns like wrinkles, volume loss, skin laxity, under-eye concerns, unwanted pigmentation, and dullness.
Dr. Phelps and his team have access to medical-grade skincare, precise injectable techniques, and evidence-based approaches that are all designed to help you achieve results that elevate your look in a way that is authentic to you.

Non-Surgical Treatments
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels use medical strength solutions to exfoliate the skin. They come in several different strengths, each designed to address the skin at a certain level or depth. Deeper peels are good for more extensive concerns, while lighter peels are great for maintenance, more minor concerns, or prejuvenation. Chemical peels can brighten the skin, shrink pores, smooth skin texture, and improve acne symptoms, including scarring. Patients can undergo a chemical peel to address a specific concern, or they can undergo a chemical peel to simply rejuvenate their appearance before an important event. (1)
CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing
CO2 laser resurfacing treatments use light energy to do things like improve skin texture, target concerns, address some damage, and more. These devices remove the topmost layer of tissue while also rejuvenating below the surface and stimulating collagen production. Their settings can be adjusted to treat different concerns or for different indications.
UltraClear® Laser
UltraClear is a groundbreaking laser platform that uses cold fiber laser technology. This minimizes the risk of thermal damage, allowing for safer and more comfortable treatment.
We offer several different treatments from the UltraClear platform, including our periocular laser treatment, 3DMIRACL®, Ultra & Clear, and Laser-Coring™.
Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL)
IPL treatments deliver light energy into the skin to target concerns like pigmentation, redness, and sun damage. (3) The pigmentation of these concerns absorbs the light energy, allowing them to break up. IPL treatments are different from laser treatments and are better for more superficial concerns.
IV Therapy
IV therapy is associated with many benefits, such as enhanced recovery, improved hydration, boosted wellness, and more. Patients often choose IV therapy after undergoing a surgical procedure, to get over a hangover, or even just to boost their vitality. IV therapy sessions are very relaxing and a great form of self-care.
Morpheus8
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production to promote healthier, more youthful-looking skin. With regular sessions, patients often notice effective skin tightening results and a general improvement in complexion.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is a treatment that harnesses the power of your own blood to provide rejuvenation. With a small sample of your own blood, you can target areas like the undereyes, face, and scalp to stimulate collagen production and enhance surgical results. It can also provide subtle volumization and improve dark spots. (4) We often recommend combining this treatment with microneedling for deeper absorption.
SkinPen® Microneedling
SkinPen microneedling creates tiny microchannels in the skin, which initiate the natural healing response, promoting enhanced collagen production. Many patients choose microneedling for general skin rejuvenation or to address symptoms of aging like fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, dullness, and more. The treatment is also effective for patients who have acne-prone skin and want to improve the appearance of acne scarring.
Sofwave™
Sofwave is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment that can lift and firm the skin using ultrasound technology. This is a great alternative for patients who have mild skin laxity and do not want to undergo more invasive procedures. Results often improve over time.
Tixel
Tixel delivers fractional thermo mechanical energy to rejuvenate delicate areas such as the under eyes and cheeks. It improves rough texture, crepey skin, and fine lines with minimal recovery. Patients often appreciate the soft resurfacing effect and the smoother overall finish that follows their treatment cycle.
