Compliance status

This website is not fully compliant with the European standard EN 301 549 version 3.2.1, due to the non-conformities and exemptions below.

An internal accessibility audit has been carried out. This audit was an in-depth analysis. You can read the report here (as a PDF).

Inaccessible content

  • The main navigation is not accessible with the keyboard, especially the submenus. The same applies to the language selection and the website switcher on desktop.
  • The focus is not visible on buttons, ‘read more’ links and some input fields. This makes navigation with the keyboard difficult.
  • Collapsible and extendable components are often not recognizable for screen readers and/or not operable with the keyboard (e.g. FAQ blocks)
  • The contrast between some UI elements and text is too low, e.g. blue on green.
  • Input fields for a visitor to pass along their data (email address, name, address, …) do not explicitly support autocomplete
  • Input errors are not correctly communicated to screen readers or the message is incomplete.
  • Some text, displayed as an image, has no alternative that is readable for screen readers, for example, the logos of various partner organizations
  • Some content is not formatted correctly, for example, generic elements and non-accessible SVG images are used when list markup would be correct. This makes it more difficult for screen readers to communicate correctly about the content and function of that content on a page.
  • Not all videos have accessible (text) alternatives (eg. captions).
