Fearless Silly Sally has learned how to open some of our interior doors. Here are some of the methods I use to defeat her.
Bathroom sink cabinet with child safety lock looped through the door handles like a U-lock. Small long shackled padlocks also work. The doors aren't secured as tight as I prefer but secured enough to keep FS Sally out of the cabinet.

Chris Arsenault was killed by the 31 March 2025 fire at Happy Cat Sanctuary in Long Island, New York while trying to save the cats. Around 100 cats are believed to have also perished in the fire. Many animal rescuers have stepped up to rescue the surviving cats. Farewell, Chris and kitties. Your lights will shine forever because you are loved, remembered, and your kindness made a difference in a harsh universe. Peace be with you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Update: According to local news reports from Long Island, 108 cats were found deceased above ground at the sanctuary or died a few days after the fire, 180-200 were found alive and are being treated and cared for by local animal rescuers, 50 more cats were found dead in the basement on 7 April 2025, and approximately 60 other cats are missing and may be hiding in distress in the surrounding area. The search continues for the cats that may still be alive nearby. The total number of cats Mr Arsenault was trying to care for at the sanctuary is not yet known. The fire marshall has ruled out arson as the cause of the fire.
Yeah. There really is a woman caring for these three moggies. I generally loathe posting photos of myself publicly. This one only exists because I needed a profile pic for my PayPal.
