  • 1 oz Tennessee Whiskey
  • 1 oz Rye Whiskey
  • ½ oz Pamplemousse Liqueur
  • ½ oz Bittersweet Orange-Red Aperitivo
  • Ice cubes
  • Grapefruit twist, for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Prep Glass: Fill your coupe glass with ice cubes to chill it.
  • Add Aperitivo: Pour ½ oz Bittersweet Orange-Red Aperitivo into the shaker.
  • Add Pamplemousse Liqueur: Add ½ oz Pamplemousse Liqueur to the mix.
  • Add Tennessee Whiskey: Pour 1 oz Tennessee Whiskey.
  • Add Rye Whiskey: Measure and pour 1 oz Rye Whiskey into the shaker. .
  • Add Ice: Fill your shaker with ice cubes.
  • Shake: Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Strain: Fine strain into your chilled coupe glass.
  • Garnish: Place a grapefruit twist into the glass for garnish.

Notes

Substitutes:

  • Tennessee Whiskey: If you don't have Tennessee whiskey, try using bourbon for a similar I've also used Canadian whisky in a pinch, which adds a smooth touch.
  • Rye Whiskey: You can substitute rye whiskey with Scotch for a smokier flavor or use Irish whiskey for a lighter taste.
  • Pamplemousse Liqueur: If unavailable, use triple sec with a splash of grapefruit juice to mimic the citrus notes.
  • Bittersweet Orange-Red Aperitivo: If unavailable try with a touch of triple sec and orange bitters.
