Digital fiction with real-world impact
Dreaming Methods is an award-winning UK immersive arts studio creating original narrative-led work across virtual reality, mixed reality and interactive media. Led by Andy Campbell and Judi Alston, the studio explores memory, place and social experience through spatial storytelling and emerging technologies.
We produce our own original projects and collaborate with a wide range of partners, with our creative practice grounded in experimentation, emotional depth and audience-centred design.
Our artistic VR collaboration Monoliths was shortlisted for the London Film Festival Immersive XR/Art Award and showcased at many other international film festivals. Our latest cross-genre VR experience exploring climate change and displacement is The Abandoned Library funded by XR Stories which won the Most Innovative Use of Technology in the Game Republic Awards 2023, Best VR of the Year at the Los Angeles Film Awards in 2024 and the Social Impact Award at SONA Immersive Storytelling Festival in Pittsburgh in 2025.
