Dreams of a Lost Girl

HEY YO it's a Moa ooc contact post! Mostly just for inventory things - particularly weapons. If your character comes in for weapons, please post the name, lj name, and what weapons they take here. Remember that Moa will only allow two weapons per person (or, alternatively, if you want to ask for more, post here and we can figure some plots out :3).

[A darkened hotel room - one of those in Spero, for those of you keeping track. The view is at an odd angle, as though perhaps it turned on accidentally. In the gloom you can pick out the back of Moa's head, against the far side of the bed.

There's a shuffling noise, some rattling, and a tinny voice speaks up.]

I love you.

[Nothing moves. The rattling begins again, and a bird's foot comes into view.]

I love you. [Again there's no response. The bird whistles like a tea kettle, it's head bobbing into view.] I love you. You're such a pretty bird.

[The girl doesn't move. It howls like a wolf, obviously trying to get her attention by now.]

You're such a pretty bird.



What a good boy.


I love you.

I love you.

[The feed times out.]

I think this is the seventh time this has happened.

[See Moa. See Moa wearing a blanket over her shoulders like a cape and a cardboard crown, the sort you might get at Burger King with your Big Kids meal. See Moa sitting on her "throne" (poofy armchair), if you're observant enough.]

It has come to my attention that we haven't yet celebrated my birthday, which was in April. I know it's late now, but as the Queen, I feel as though this is an important occasion, so we should celebrate it now. All visitors and residents of Inventoryland are invited.

[It's all said very formally, and then she relaxes a little, smiles one of her warm smiles.]

I think it's important to take a break now and then. And there's food. Come by whenever.

[If you choose to accept this invitation, you will find Moa in Inventory, with an arrangement of chairs and soft things to sit on and a table of various edible odds and ends. Come party!]

Take us back. I don't want to be here. D-did you see what was on the panopticon? They killed those people. A-and they let all of us watch.

[She sounds frightened. Obviously.]

Phineas - he was there too. I saw him - is he at the hospital? Is that where he's working? And they mentioned Ace and...someone else...that name sounds familiar to me. But I can't remember.

[Her memory is probably not helped by the panic bubbling just underneath.]

I want to talk to Phineas, and then I want to go home. We're not supposed to be here - I like - I like the other Discedo better. We're free there.

[She pants a little, out of breath.]

[The first few moments of this post seem to be filled with gentle rustling. It's not entirely clear what exactly is rustling, or why Moa would turn the communicator on for it, but once it calms down, she offers a phrase.]

[There's silence. Although it seems she was hoping for a response, she doesn't sound perturbed. She just repeats herself instead:]

[This time, a voice answers her back. It's definitely not human - it's higher and almost tinny. But the words are clear: ]

I love you.

[Moa laughs, pleased.]

Pretty bird.

Pretty bird.

How are you?

[No response this time. Now she addresses you, her audience.]

He doesn't know that one yet.

I'm thinking of naming him Minato.
