Eligibility

  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Florida.
  • Must have a team of up to 6 people total (can work solo)

Project and Submission Requirements

  • A 3-minute YouTube video presenting the idea.
  • A written summary no longer than 2 pages outlining:
    • The problem being addressed.
    • The proposed solution.
    • Expected impact on healthcare.
    • Feasibility and implementation plan.
  • Ensure that your team's names and ufl emails on the written report.
  • Using ChatGPT for your writeup is allowed!
  • NOTE: You do NOT need to make DevPost accounts for all of your members as long as all of your emails are on the writeup. Feel free to click "Skip step" when asked.

Prizes

  • 1st Place: Mentorship + discussions about development + a memento to mark your team's victory

Judging Criteria (Total: 100 points):

  1. Potential Impact
    • Addresses a critical medical issue with strong potential for adoption.
  2. Presentation
    • Engaging, well-structured, and professional pitch.
  3. Novelty
    • Innovative and original concept or significant improvement on existing solutions.
  4. Practicality
    • Feasible with a clear implementation plan.
  5. Development
    • Well-researched, detailed roadmap, and strong supporting evidence.

Winner Selection:

  • Initial Round: Review of all video submissions, selecting finalists
  • Final Round: Live presentations and Q&A sessions judged by a panel of experts
