"Recent speculation has arisen that the project may be ending or the site may be under new ownership. The site, which is typically updated with new secrets every Sunday, was not updated on the Sunday of July 1, 2007. Address and instructions for visitors to send in their secrets has been removed. Also noted was the absence of a post—which contained contact information for Hopeline, a suicide hotline the site previously supported, and the story and picture of "Cassie", a young woman who fought depression and found help through the site — and also the new presence of a "Comments" section. However, some speculate these changes are the result of the site's creator, Frank Warren, possibly being ill or on a hiatus, being that his Facebook and Myspace pages both have his mailing address and links to the PostSecret site still attached, and have not be updated.
One visitor to Postsecret, another blogger, claims to have contacted the police regarding Warren's absence, and learned that he has gone on vacation. It is now believed that the comment section was unlocked for people to leave their secrets in his absence, until he returns"
