Copy selected tracks to new or existing iPod playlist

AppleScript Applet for iTunes

Select tracks or a playlist of tracks and add them to a new or existing playlist on a connected iPod, iPhone, or iPad. The device must be set to "Manually manage music and videos". Incompatible with devices using iCloud Music Library. Very handy when assigned a keyboard shortcut. I use Control-Command-N.

New iPod Playlist From Selection in action

After selecting some tracks or a playlist in iTunes, run the script, select an iPod (if more than one is mounted), enter a name for the new iPod playlist (or not), and the tracks will be copied to your iPod.
