Diving Science and Technology
with Dr. David Charash, Diving Medicine Consultant
Dr. David Charash has been involved as a dive medicine physician caring for the diving community for over 30 years. He is board certified in emergency medicine as well as undersea and hyperbaric medicine. He lectures locally, nationally and internationally on all aspects of dive medicine, dive safety and dive technology. As a dive medicine consultant, he works with commercial, public safety, scientific, technical, recreational and military diving communities. He is a DAN Referral Physician, Instructor, and a diver himself. He has been a volunteer researcher with the Divers Alert Network Research Team, and hosts the Fitness to Dive podcast.
From the earliest records of diving to the current modern era, there have been many lessons learned and milestones accomplished that allow us to continue to enjoy the sport of diving. Modern era ocean explorers, scientists and divers continue to explore and innovate in the diving sciences, diving technology, and dive safety. Join Dr. David Charash as he shares his stories reflecting on 30 years of experience and field work as a dive medicine physician.
