Meet Our Chef

Chef Amir Hajimaleki is a celebrated chef and restaurateur known for his dedication to creating innovative and inviting dining experiences. Born in Tehran, Iran, he moved to the United States at the age of eight, bringing with him a deep appreciation for Persian culinary traditions that continue to influence his cooking.

After completing formal training at the Texas Culinary Academy, a Le Cordon Bleu program, Amir honed his craft and passion for blending diverse flavors with locally sourced ingredients. In 2013, he co-founded District Kitchen + Cocktails in Austin, Texas, alongside his brother Ali. The restaurant quickly gained acclaim for its seasonal menus and warm atmosphere, paving the way for additional concepts like Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar, Keepers Coastal Kitchen, and the pop-up Persian eatery Roya
