Disney Infinity is a toys-to-life action-adventure platform released in 2013 under Disney Interactive. It blends collectible NFC-enabled character figures and a USB Infinity Base with expansive digital game worlds. Players can dive into story-driven Play Sets inspired by Disney and Pixar franchises—such as Pirates of the Caribbean, The Incredibles, and Cars—or unleash their creativity in Toy Box mode, a flexible sandbox for building and sharing custom levels and mini-games. Later installments expanded the lineup with Marvel Super Heroes (2.0) and Star Wars (3.0), adding new characters, combat styles, vehicles, and creation tools. Designed for family-friendly fun, the game supports local co-op and encourages community creativity. Although the series was discontinued in 2016 and online services were retired, offline play remains available on supported platforms, and figures and Power Discs continue to work with their respective versions.
