DiskRedactor is some sort of "file shredding" solution for Windows computers. The reason why this type of applications has a marker is because everyone wants to have some privacy. And the way computers are designed does not precisely allow for that. The files that get deleted on an OS are not entirely deleted and can be recovered quite easily. Applications like this permanently delete those files by writing "dummy" information where those files were first stored. Thus, although the file will show up (its filename), its contents will be unreadable. The way this particular application works is different. DiskRedactor will allow you to select a particular path on your hard drive and delete all the files located therein. It will not delete any existing files, but it will make sure that all the files that were ever deleted from that particular path are not to be ever recovered. This application is being distributed as freeware. And considering that most applications of this kind cost a lot, trying DiskRedactor up sounds like a good idea.
