[The video begins with a view of the dinner table- a roast turkey next to a simmering dish of stew and another of some kind of soup. Various side dishes are scattered about - potatoes, some greens, fruits - along with desserts.

Basically, it's a very mouth-watering setup. And a lot of freaking food.

The most notable dish, however, is the cake.

Then Rin turns the video to himself.]

So what do you think? This place doesn't have any good Christmas cakes at all, so I decided to try making one myself!

[He's grinning so proudly, still aproned with flour dusting his cheeks.]

Is it weird...? To lose a part of you you didn't even like... and miss it? It's totally weird isn't it. I don't really get it myself.

[His face scrunches up as he tries to explain it without giving it away. To those who know him, though, his ears are distinctly less pointed. Normal.]

Even if I could have hurt people-- I was trying really hard not to! I wasn't trying to be normal- so I-

[He groans and messes with his hair in frustration]

What- what were those things, anyway? Demons possessing angel statues? That's not really that funny!

Especially when you can't smash them!

But is everyone okay? If anyone needs any help getting to the safe areas, Blacky and I'll take you there. We can't do much more than that, but if that's the best we can do, we'll do it.

[Rin is backed into an alleyway by a single NPC zombie who has been trying to eat him the past ten minutes. He holds his unsheathed sword at his side, and he's looking quite... uncertain for such a normally boisterous teenager.]

I'm sorry--

[Rin doesn't realize that zombies react to sound, and being so loud, that's exactly why he keeps attracting these things.

He unsheathes his sword and his body is immediately engulfed in bright blue flames. His ears become long and pointed, his pupils dilating and fangs sharpening. Reference.]

-I ain't planning on getting eaten today!

Okay, so-- it's really impossible to live just off this allowance thing if I want to buy clothes, food, games, game consoles, manga, and all that, too. Though it's not as bad as that damn clown!

I didn't realize... Back then that old geezer really had to work kinda hard to support us all, huh.

It's back to square one, then. If anyone knows of any place or anyone hiring-- I'm definitely looking! If you can leave me a message or something, I've got enough of these coins to spare for a decent suit! Maybe not a tie, though. Even after he taught me--

It's nothing like that- but if you beat real hard on these things, they usually end up working somehow.

[The video is so far a close-up of Rin's face, smiling. He sets the device down after tinkering with it with no results, showing that he seems to be...sitting? And moving?]

Hey, hey, Rin, where do you think we are?

I don't know-- it doesn't look anything like Tokyo or Kyoto. [He picks up the device again and inspects the back, the camera now facing toward...a giant cat's head?!

Yup. He's riding on the back of a giant black cat. And they are touring the City!]

But look at all the different people! And the amusement park! Look, there's even a carousel-- feel like trying it out, Blacky? I wonder if we need to pay money or anything. Maybe it has something to do with tickets.

[ooc | Okay-- in Rin's canon, you have to be a demon to hear the giant kitty talk. But if you have a character who seems to be an exception, I'm not really picky hehe.
