Dinkytown Athletes provides a platform for student-athletes at the University of Minnesota to create and develop NIL opportunities with businesses and sponsors. NIL has created a pathway and support structure for athletes to monetize their name, image and likeness. We work with athletes from the University of Minnesota to help them capitalize on this significant opportunity. NIL refers to the NCAA’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) Policy that was established in June of 2021. This policy represents the first time in the history of college athletics from which student-athletes are allowed to receive payments or compensation in exchange for their name, image, or likeness (e.g., memorabilia, commercials, marketing campaigns and endorsements).

No, contracts, deals, and activation opportunities vary by the specific sport, athlete, and contribution. Each deal is negotiated separately and signed by the athlete.
