Dicero!

Dicero! is a casual roguelite where every combat starts with a simple action: rolling the dice. From that point on, everything becomes a crazy tangle of skills, wild combinations, and quick decisions that will keep you glued to the screen. It's one of those games that seems simple at first but will show a surprising level of depth when you least expect it.

Roll the dice and develop your strategy

The gameplay is very simple, since the only thing you have to do is roll the dice to find the best possible combination. Each die you roll will unleash different abilities, and that’s the beauty of it: you won't need to overcomplicate things with a thousand buttons or endless tutorials. You roll the dice, you see what you get, and you take action. In the top right corner, there's a monster icon; if you tap on it, you will see a list of the best possible combinations, and your goal is to find the one that will inflict as much damage as possible. You will have three chances to change a die, so think twice before acting and do your best to ensure a good roll in order to defeat your rivals.

Create your hero

On your path to victory, you can unlock hundreds of unique skills, pieces of equipment, and upgrades that will completely transform your playstyle. Additionally, you will have the ability to design your own configurations and further enhance your hero. This progression system will encourage you to keep playing, because you will always be discovering new combinations that are even more destructive than the previous ones.

My thoughts on Dicero!

Playing Dicero! was a pleasant surprise. You go in thinking it will be just another casual game, but as soon as you start unlocking abilities and see how they combine with each other, you get hooked on keeping the dice rolling. It's fast, fun, and perfect for disconnecting for a while without having to learn a complicated system. And the best part: it always leaves you wanting another turn.

The best and the worst of Dicero!

• What I liked most was the skill combinations, which offer a lot of variety.

• What I liked least was the fact that some games depend quite a bit on the luck of the rolls (although that also has its charm).
