Eligibility

  • Participants must be a student at any accredited university/college
  • Participants must be registered beforehand (diamondhacks.acmucsd.com)

Teams

  • Up to 4 people per team
  • Participants cannot be part of multiple teams
  • Each team can make at most one submission
  • No inappropriate team names (e.g. racist, sexist, sexual, etc)  

Project and Submission Requirements

  • Video submission: 3 minutes for video
  • Submissions should be in English and uploaded on Devpost
  • Explain inspirations, how the project was developed, and a short demo in the background.
  • Include your code and any other other necessary files to run it in your submission
  • To qualify for beginner prize, members of your team have attended at most 2 hackathons or have less than a year of programming experience

Things to Keep in Mind

  • All materials submitted should be created during the allotted time frame of the hackathon
  • No plagiarism (violation of this policy will result in disqualification)
  • Participants must abide by fair play (No sabotaging other teams, manipulating results, or any other violation of the guidelines)
  • You cannot submit your project to another hackathon
  • Be courteous to people
  • If you notice any rules being violated, please talk to volunteers/organizers.
