LIBRARY CARD
Card Application
Residents who live in within Downers Grove's library district can access all the public library has to offer with a physical or digital card that never expires.
In-Person
Visit the first-floor Checkout Desk with a personal photo ID and one proof of residency:
- Drivers license, State ID
- Current utility bill
- Piece of first-class mail
- Mortgage or lease
Patrons under 18 years of age will need a parent or guardian to register for a card.
Online
A digital card provides the same full-library access as a physical card. To apply, complete the appropriate form below. Once approved, patrons will receive an email with their library card number and a link to set a PIN. Patrons will receive a card upon request. You can find and use your barcode by logging into the SWAN Libraries + App.
Alternate Paths
- Businesses and nonprofit organizations located in incorporated Downers Grove.
- Unincorporated residents can purchase a fee card for $309, valid for one year. A fee card is available for those who don't live within the corporate boundaries of Downers Grove and who are not eligible for service from another public library.
