While on a holiday in Sicily, we missed out a few great events offered by the locals because we couldn't plan ahead and we weren't informed (by the hotel) either. So we thought, wouldn't it be great, if the hotels, while sending us the booking confirmation, could also tell us all the offers that they have and all activities (relevant to us) that may be available in the destination? It would help us, as travelers, and it would help hotel upsell in advance. Hence, YourTravelGuide was born.
Our target users are hotels and travelers. We connect hotels with the local tour providers and, on behalf of hotels, send offers and information to the travelers about their upcoming holiday. It's completely FREE of cost for the hotels and we charge a commission from the sales of local tickets, tours etc.
We are really proud of our simple architecture. Hotels need to install nothing, and travelers need to go to no new site. No additional logins, no additional software to download. No upfront fee for hotel and no additional fee for travelers. It's simple and elegant solution to a hard and fragmented market.
