Inspiration

Deloitte highlights that AI transformation fails not because of technology, but because of humans. Managers struggle to guide teams, and employees often feel overwhelmed or anxious about AI. I wanted to create a tool that bridges this gap.

What it does

Tension Solver scans team sentiment, detects areas of stress or confusion, and generates actionable guidance for managers. It provides 3-step coaching scripts and a day-to-day micro action plan.

How I built it

I used CodeIgniter 4 for backend, Tailwind CSS for a clean frontend, and OpenAI API for AI-driven analysis. Surveys feed into AI models, producing recommendations and clear actionable steps.

Challenges we ran into

Understanding human-AI tension in just a few questions was tricky. Mapping AI output to actionable steps took several iterations. Integrating charts and AI responses into a smooth UI required careful design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I built a fully functional MVP in 3 hours. Managers can now get AI-guided coaching instantly, and teams’ tension areas will be clearly visualized. The solution is simple, practical, and ready to demo.

What I learned

AI is powerful, but the human context is critical. Even short surveys can provide meaningful insights when paired with actionable recommendations. Clear UX makes AI guidance approachable.

What's next for Tension Solver

Expand survey depth, personalize recommendations per team role, add multilingual support, integrate graph and visual feedback and explore integrating real-time chat for live coaching.
