Inspiration

We all enjoy time based games, especially games were a person needs to complete objectives with great speed. Our idea was to create a bunch of mini games that all tie together to complete the overall goal of completing the game.

What it does

Our game starts where the player is introduced in a strange place that they must get out from. To escape they must run through a hallway, but they don't have enough time to. In order to complete it the player must go through 4 seperate mini games, in each of the mini games the player is able to collect time coins that increase there total available to time to finish the task. Each of the minigames is doable in 15 sec, but they are difficult and may require the use of a time coin. After finishing all the games, the player will have enought time coins to run through the long path and complete the game.

How we built it

We built the game using the LUA programming language, and Roblox studio.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into were finiding dedicated time to meet together and work on the game as we all had prior commitments at the school for Preview Day and MCC Global Village. With the game itself, we had some difficulty implementing passwords and a time counter for the players available time. We also had trouble adding additional time, once the player was able to grab time coins. We also have a small bug with the coin and timer, where when a coin is used, the additional time is kept through the entire game without resetting, when we intend it to be only available for each specific mini game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the team work we had in completing the game. One of the members in the team designed a unique icon for the coin. We were also able to figure out the code for the passwords and the time clock counter.

What we learned

We learned how to use the LUA programming langauge and roblox studio. While not fluent with LUA, we learned to enough to be able to debug our unique code.

What's next for T - 15 Seconds

The next steps are to fix the bug and add more asthetics to the game.
