StudyBuddy Project

Students in my school were the inspiration for this project. Some of my friends don't have a hard time understanding concepts and memorizing ideas, so I wanted to create a site that can help them.

StudyBuddy Components

StudyBuddy has three main components:

1. Study

   • Provides lesson plans, notes, and curriculum information on the subjects of Math, English/Literature, and Science.
   • Includes study techniques with descriptions for readers to utilize.

2. Note-taking Area

   • Allows students to jot down any notes, questions, or references they make.

3. AI Personal Academic Assistant

   • Answers academic questions the student may have.
   • Each answer creates a new box for the student's future reference.

Development Process

We built StudyBuddy using a website building tool that allows for more creative freedom. Here's a brief overview of the development process:

• Conducted research on study techniques.
• Designed logos for aesthetic and copyright purposes.
• Implemented AI using the API key/code and integrated it into the site.
• Created a separate list for referencing questions and answers.
• Designed a data sheet for note-taking.

Challenges Faced

We faced several challenges during the development:

1. Research: Extensive research on study techniques and AI implementation.
2. Implementation of AI: Figuring out how to integrate AI into a website.
3. API Keys: Learning about API keys and their usage.

Despite the challenges, we persevered, and the learning experience was invaluable.

Achievements and Future Plans

We are proud of what StudyBuddy has become. It exceeded our expectations, and we've gained skills in communication, website-making, and understanding the intricacies behind website development.

StudyBuddy has a bright future. Future implementations may include more note-taking features, interactive study guides, and programming enhancements.
