Inspiration

We started with one simple observation.

The top 10% and the top 1% often have the same technical skills, the same education, and similar knowledge.
What really separates them is emotional intelligence and cognitive clarity.

The top 1% understand themselves better.
They know how they react under stress, how they think, how they communicate, and how to regulate emotions.
They make better decisions not because they know more — but because they understand themselves and others better.

Most platforms today focus on productivity or mental health in isolation.
Very few help people build emotional intelligence in a structured, engaging, and practical way.

That gap is what inspired us to build MokshAI.

What it does

MokshAI is an AI-powered emotional intelligence and wellness platform.

It helps users in two major ways:

1. Understanding yourself

  • Tracks your emotions, moods, and thought patterns over time
  • Helps you reflect on decisions, habits, and reactions
  • Builds an AI Twin — a rational version of you that understands your goals, fears, and patterns
  • Guides you step-by-step toward your dreams and long-term goals
  • Offers meditation and calming AR environments for self-reflection

2. Understanding others and building better relationships

  • Analyzes communication patterns (like WhatsApp chats) to show how relationships evolve
  • Highlights empathy gaps, communication shifts, and emotional distance
  • Helps you improve how you communicate, listen, and respond
  • Enables peer interaction and mentorship through calm, immersive AR rooms

3. Growing cognitive and emotional skills

  • Game-based challenges to improve awareness, focus, empathy, and response time
  • Community challenges that make emotional growth fun and social

Together, MokshAI helps users move from self-awareness → emotional control → stronger relationships → long-term growth.

How I built it

  • Built the frontend using Next.js for a smooth and accessible experience
  • Used Supabase for authentication and data storage
  • Designed automated workflows using n8n to connect different services
  • Used AI models for emotion understanding, conversation analysis, and personalized guidance
  • Created multiple AI agents, each focused on a specific role like reflection, guidance, crisis support, and mentorship
  • Ran emotion detection directly on the frontend for better privacy
  • Integrated WhatsApp and voice-based interactions to meet users where they already are

The focus was always on user experience and emotional safety, not just technology.

Challenges I ran into

  • Understanding emotions is deeply personal — one solution does not fit everyone
  • Making AI feel helpful without sounding generic or robotic
  • Handling sensitive emotional data responsibly and privately
  • Balancing flexibility of conversation while still using structured personal context
  • Designing features that support users without overwhelming them

Each challenge pushed us to simplify, listen more, and design with empathy.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

  • Built an AI Twin that feels personal and reflective, not generic
  • Created tools that help people understand their relationships, not just themselves
  • Designed a system that is privacy-first and user-centric
  • Combined emotional wellness, mentorship, collaboration, and games into one ecosystem
  • Focused on real human problems instead of just building features

What I learned

  • Emotional intelligence cannot be taught through static questionnaires
  • People open up more when tools feel familiar and non-judgmental
  • AI is most powerful when it listens first, then guides
  • Simplicity builds trust, especially in emotional wellness
  • Growth happens when reflection feels safe and personal

What's next for MokshAI

  • Expand mentorship and counselor support
  • Add more cognitive and empathy-based games
  • Improve personalization using long-term emotional patterns
  • Partner with universities and organizations for real-world pilots
  • Continue building MokshAI as a lifelong companion for emotional growth

Because the future belongs not just to those who think fast —
but to those who understand deeply.
