  • Scheduling appointments online can reduce workload of staff as well as reduce paperwork. Unnecessary answering of phone calls can be avoided, thus maintaining a smooth workflow.
  • A physician can respond to a patient’s query even while seeing other patients. This enables the physician to save time and attend to more important cases which require face to face consultation. Thus, saving time of the physician and avoiding crowds in the waiting room.
  • A physician can provide 24 by 7 access without increasing their work hours.
  • Payment system to avoid long queues in hospitals.

Characteristics

The System is basically consists of two different users that would be interacting with the aim of providing better healthcare service through mutual utilization of self-monitoring and the consultation from a specialist. The mutual interaction exists because user will have the option of sending the appointment request to the doctor, getting the acceptance status from doctor. The two users are:

1. Patient:

  • First register himself, complete his profile which consist of general information, sign and symptoms or can directly login if already registered.
  • Can view statistics of appointment status, number of doctors available, number of appointments and upcoming appointments on dashboard.
  • Can search a doctor with desire specialization and can send appointment request to doctor, can give ratings to particular doctor and can make a payment.
  • Can view/ download reports uploaded by doctor.

2. Doctor:

  • Can register himself, complete his profile which consist of general information and hospital information or can directly login if already registered.
  • Can view statistics of appointment status, number of patient treated by him, total number of appointments, and upcoming appointments.
  • Can accept or reject appointment request sent by patient, add that patient data for further treatment. Can monitor payment status.
  • Can Track history of records and can upload new records for particular patient.

Health Passport: Health passport consist of unique ID associated with each registered patient. Health passport will include your health records and reports you can choose to write in it what you want a health professional to know about you. Examples could be your symptoms like what gives you anxiety or blood reports, x-ray copies in digital format. Healthcare professionals can read it to find out everything you want them to know.

  • Go to health passport enter unique health passport ID of patient and click on send OTP.
  • Ask that patient for OTP and verify for the same
  • After OTP validation doctor or patient himself can see all reports, sign and symptoms.
