Inspiration
We were inspired by problems we saw in real health trackers, which were usually in plain and basic designs, making them less appealing to younger audiences, despite how important they are. We were inspired to make health trackers enjoyable for the user to keep them tracking their health consistently.
What it does
Lunyx allows users to track their sleep, period, and medicine in real time by using data input from the user and screen time tracking. To get started, Lunyx requires the user to connect the app to their health provider to track and record past health documents in the app for the user to access easily.
How we built it
We used Figma to create the prototype.
Challenges we ran into
Our team was originally working on a game for the general WEHack track, but we found it difficult due to having to use the game engine's programming language, which none of us knew. We concluded that there was not enough time to fully learn the mechanics of the game engine and the programming. Thus, we had to quickly come up with a new idea that was more compatible with our skill set, giving us less time to work on the prototype as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to come up with a new concept that aligned better with our skills in a short amount of time. We are also proud to work on an app that benefits the health of other women.
What we learned
We learned that we had overestimated our abilities, and we had more strengths in UX design.
What's next for Lunyx
We want to expand Lunyx's abilities to allow users to track other parts of their health, for example, their heart rate, steps, and stress.
