Inspiration

Malnutrition Risk Screener: Uses AI to analyze photos of meals and flag if a senior is missing key micronutrients (iron, Vitamin A, etc.). Low-Cost Culturally Relevant Meals: A library of recipes specifically designed for "underserved communities" using cheap, local, and fortified ingredients. Health & Nutrition Passport: Timestamps when they received food aid or supplements to ensure they aren't missed by community health workers. Vulnerability Tracker: Helps NGOs see a "timeline" of a person's nutritional health over time to predict when they might need urgent intervention.

What it does

AI-driven nutrition for at-risk communities: Features a Malnutrition Risk Screener, low-cost fortified recipes, and a secure health passport to track nutrient intake and streamline community aid.

How we built it

1.The Integrity Layer (Solidity & Polygon): We developed a smart contract in Solidity and deployed it to the Polygon Amoy Testnet. This contract acts as a digital notary, storing immutable cryptographic hashes of medical documents. 2.The Intelligence Layer (AI): We integrated Gemini 2.0 Flash via OpenRouter to create a specialized maternal health chatbot. It’s tuned to analyze verified medical data and provide empathetic, context-aware support to expectant mothers. 3.The Verification Engine: We used Ethers.js and crypto-js to bridge the frontend and the blockchain. Every time a file is uploaded, we generate a $SHA-256$ hash locally, anchor it to the blockchain, and provide a "Green Shield" UI feedback for the user. 4.The Frontend: Built with a modern JavaScript framework, focused on accessibility and a "Patient-First" UX/UI.

Challenges we ran into

Testnet "Fuel" Scarcity: We initially struggled with the Amoy Testnet gas requirements. Standard faucets provided 0.1 POL, but contract deployment often required more due to network congestion. 1.Successful Deployment: We successfully moved from local development to a live, multi-node blockchain environment on Polygon Amoy. 2.The "Red Alert" System: We are incredibly proud of our live integrity check. It’s one thing to say data is "secure," but visually demonstrating a "Red Alert" when a file is tampered with provides a powerful sense of security for the user. 3.Patient Empowerment: Our app allows a mother to upload, secure, and own her own pregnancy journey.

Personal to Purposeful Transition: Successfully transformed a personal struggle with a rare TB diagnosis into a functional, "Zero-Trust" health solution that addresses the malnutrition hazards.

Immutable Integrity Layer: Engineered a robust security system using SHA-256 hashing and Polygon Amoy anchoring, ensuring that any unauthorized edit to a dietary profile is stopped.

High-Impact AI Integration: Deployed a Gemini 2.0 Flash assistant that doesn't just provide generic advice, but bridges the nutrition gap.

Scalable Architecture for NGOs: Built a production-ready hybrid system that maintains 100% data transparency and timestamping on the blockchain.

What we learned

The Importance of Interoperability: Nutrition data should be taken care of and documented with nutrition profiles and taken care of by providing support.
