User Interface of the EPSUM mobile application
Inspiration
Shared spaces are common everywhere in the world. This, however, would normally entail sharing everything, from appliances to rooms themselves. EPSUM provides a solution for utility sharing, in that it allows users to note their utility usage to ensure that they are paying only for what they used, no more and no less. With the rise of cryptocurrency, EPSUM also makes use of this to allow for micropayments to be made for every kilowatt-hour consumed.
What it does
EPSUM allows individuals to keep track of their individual energy consumption using a mobile application. Roommates may also use this to monitor their own consumption and energy expenditure to pay for an equal amount of the share. To pay, cryptocurrency can be used with a built-in app feature to compare stats and ESG standings between and among currencies.
