What it does
EcoQuest offers an immersive world of environmental education through interactive learning modules. In each module, users rescue endangered animals, guiding them to safety in lush sanctuaries. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about sustainability, climate change, and environmental activism.
How we built it
We built the prototype using Figma!
Challenges we ran into
Lack of time to flesh out everything but we did manage to finish the platform’s main features. Primary research - interviewing more people who fit within our target user demographic would lead to even more valuable data
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finished researching and designing the prototype in less than 8 hours 😎
What we learned
Planning a design process makes things easier and it is really important to clearly define the problem! We learned more about social sustainability and designing for kids as well.
What's next for EcoQuest
👨🏫 Expand Lesson Plans: Include a wider variety of animals. Develop more engaging storylines. Cover additional sustainability topics. 📓 Curriculum Integration: Seamlessly integrate ECOQuest into existing education curricula, such as established programs like British Columbia’s K-12 Climate Change Education. 🎨 Visual Style Refinement: Enhance the game’s aesthetics, and ensure a cohesive and visually appealing experience. 👨👧👧 Reiterate on the Parent Progress Dashboard: improve the progress tracking feature, and provide parents with more meaningful learning analytics into their child’s learning journey. This can be done after conducting further usability testing
