Inspiration The inspiration behind Dodge came from classic arcade games that focus on quick reflexes and timing. The idea was to create a game that challenges players to dodge obstacles and hazards while keeping them engaged with fast-paced gameplay.

What it does Dodge is a game where players must maneuver a character through an environment filled with obstacles and projectiles. The objective is to survive as long as possible by dodging these hazards. As the game progresses, the difficulty increases, making it more challenging to avoid the obstacles.

How we built it We built Dodge using Unity. The development process involved designing levels, creating or sourcing assets, and coding the game mechanics, such as player movement, collision detection, and obstacle generation. We also focused on optimizing the game for smooth performance across different devices. The assets used: https://axulart.itch.io/small-8-direction-characters and https://opengameart.org/content/bears

Challenges we ran into One of the significant challenges we faced was balancing the difficulty level. We wanted to make sure that the game was challenging but not frustrating. Another challenge was implementing smooth and responsive controls to ensure that players felt in control of their character at all times.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We're proud of the polished gameplay experience we created. The game is both challenging and fun, with a difficulty curve that keeps players coming back for more. We're also proud of the visual design and how the game runs smoothly across different platforms.

What we learned Through this project, we learned a lot about game development, including level design, optimizing performance, and creating intuitive controls. We also gained experience in problem-solving and debugging, which were crucial in overcoming the challenges we faced during development.

What's next for Dodge The next steps for Dodge include adding more levels, introducing new types of obstacles, and possibly incorporating a multiplayer mode. We also plan to gather feedback from players to further refine the game and make it even more engaging.
