Inspiration

In the world of firefighting, every second counts. When lives are at risk, first responders need precise, real-time information to make split-second decisions. Our Augmented Fire Command Center is designed to provide firefighters with an unprecedented level of situational awareness, using cutting-edge AR/VR technologies, advanced sensors, and powerful processing capabilities powered by Qualcomm’s Robotic Card.

What it does

Real-time AR/VR Visualization: Imagine being able to step into a virtual environment that mimics the real-life chaos of a fire emergency. Our solution leverages AR/VR to offer firefighters a dynamic, immersive experience, allowing them to visualize real-time data, building layouts, fire progression, and hazardous areas with pinpoint accuracy. In both emergency and training situations, this visualization gives fire teams an edge in both preparedness and response.

Mobile Access & Headset Compatibility: Whether they are on the ground or in command, firefighters can access critical information through their smartphones or wearables like Apple Vision Pro headsets. By using AR overlays, they can see important data such as gas levels, fire hot spots, structural integrity, and the location of other units in real-time—directly in their field of view.

Sensor Integration for Real-Time Data: Embedded sensors, including thermal, gas, motion, and structural integrity sensors, send real-time data to the Fire Command Center. These sensors can track fire behavior, detect hazardous conditions like CO2 and smoke levels, and measure temperature gradients within a building. This information is instantly fed into the AR/VR models, ensuring firefighters are always operating with the most accurate data.

AI and Qualcomm’s Robotic Card Processing Power: Our solution leverages Qualcomm’s Robotic Card to provide the powerful computational capabilities needed to process high-volume sensor data and deliver it to the AR/VR platforms. The AI models running on the card analyze patterns in fire behavior, identify potential risks, and recommend optimal firefighting strategies. This allows command units to make more informed decisions, improving safety and efficiency in both real-world emergencies and training scenarios.

Training & Simulation: The solution isn’t just for live emergencies. The Fire Command Center can also be used for hyper-realistic training simulations. Firefighters can train in virtual environments that closely replicate real-world emergencies, without the risk. Trainees can engage in live drills using real-time data feeds, such as simulated heat signatures or toxic gas detection, to hone their skills.
