On 9/11, Americans remembered those lost nine years ago at Ground Zero when two hijacked airliners were flown into the Twin Towers in a terrorist attack killing well over 2,000 people and collapsing both towers. But this past 9/11 was shrouded in controversy: Continue reading ‘America Speaks! Tens of Thousands at Historic FDI/SIOA 911 Rally’

Drug Cartel “Spotters” Living in Caves in Arizona – Americans warned to stay out of area??

•September 16, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Near Pinal, Arizona and Tuscon, Arizona local authorities have discovered that illegal immigrants acting as “spotters” for Mexican Drug Cartels are living in caves on property of local ranchers. This information reported by the Pinal County Sheriff, Paul Babeu. Sheriff Babeu to FOX news this morning.  Sheriff Babeu asked for federal help to stem the flow of illegal immigrants into the area. What he got was several billboards in “English,” facing North,” that warned the area was “unsafe” due to illegal trafficking, to “stay out!” It took the local citizens three days to decide whether to report the caves to authorities due to fear of retaliation from the drug cartels. I am sure the new bill boards will make those citizens feel much safer!

Where is the Federal Government when you need it?  The government is becoming more and more intrusive in our lives. Little by little it is chipping away our rights. The government constantly presents itself in the role of our “benevolent” benefactor. Dead Americans don’t care about “redistribution” of wealth and government sponsored health care!

Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri

I was visiting Michelle Malkin’s site reading about the various “Tea Party Movement’s” activities when I came across an article from August that made me very angry as both a Veteran and an American who strongly supports our troops. I don’t care that this is old news; so, just bear with me. The post I found , Dept. of Social Justice strikes again: USS Cole bombing prosecution “shelved”, wrote about Obama Administration’s decision “not” to try “Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the alleged coördinator of the Oct. 2000 suicide attack on the USS Cole in Yemen”. This was what the government filed with the court. Everything was all set to go on both sides. Now, the man behind the terrorist attack on the U.S.S. Cole on October 12, 2000 while refueling at a port in Yemen is sitting back laughing at American justice! Continue reading ‘Why Doesn’t the White House “Remember the Cole?”’

Well, One blogger has figured it out!

There is a great post at Marion’s Word. I have said the same thing for years now. I think she may have said it better. Check out her blog and her post. Here’s a little excerpt:

The Midterm Elections and the Communist Manifesto

  • Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
  • Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind.
  • Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
  • Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
  • Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
  • Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, and policy-making positions. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
  • Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
  • Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
  • Infiltrate and gain control of unions.
  • Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
  • Discredit the family as an institution.

    Dear Congress;

We want our elected representatives in both sides of Congress to obey the Constitution and do the jobs we elected them to do.

Stop all those no good buy outs. Stop rewarding bad corporate leadership. Lower taxes for everyone. No more huge government programs which little by little take away our sovereign state rights and individual rights. Continue reading ‘Dear Congress; Here is What We Want in America’

On September 11, 2001, four (4) commercial jet liners were hijacked by  al-Qaeda suicide squads. Two (2) planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, which later collapsed within two hours. One (1) plane crashed into the Pentagon. The fourth (4th) crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania after the passengers prevented the hijackers from their intended goal, the White house (?). In all, nineteen hijackers and 3,000 people, mostly civilians, and many police officers and firemen died that day. The dead were from 70 countries. So, in effect, 70 nations were attacked that horrible day. Continue reading ‘Park51 – A “Trojan Horse?”’

“They’re having a little girl and she’s never going to know her daddy.” ……”It’s unbelievable. We identified him by his tattoos. We don’t know what he looked like. We don’t know what happened exactly. We don’t know if it was instant or if….we don’t know,” said Alicia Weese, victims sister.

These are a few of the heartfelt comments made by Aubrey Weese’s sister after Aubrey was killed by an Amtrak passenger train over the Labor Day holiday. These are thoughts, fears, and questions shared by all who knew Aubrey.

“I know he had his music loud in his ear because when he was in Iraq, his striker, got blown up. So, in his left ear he couldn’t hear as well.”

I think we were all plagued by questions we were afraid to voice. Knowing Aubrey, we couldn’t believe he deliberately walked into the path of that train. But public comments on blogs, news sites, and by people we knew or encountered sometimes kindly, sometimes not so kindly, voiced what I think all of us who knew and loved him feared. Iraqi War Veteran struck and killed by Amtrak Passenger train

    •September 6, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Sometime ago I added some poems here in a post that were written by a young friend of the family while he was stationed in Mosul, Iraq. While, G.R.(pseudonym) aka “Joe Bang Bang” was in Iraq, his was contacted about his mother’s impending death due to cancer. While he waited for his last flight connection to bring him home, his mother died.G.R. then returned to Iraq. Later he was discharged from the Army and returned home. I t was very obvious that G.R. was deeply affected by his Mosul tour.  But he went through the local “VA Hospital,” for help.

September 4, 2010, G.R. died when he was struck by an Amtrak passenger train as he walked the tracks listening to his headphones. He was 24 years old. Once he was identified, his friends and family gathered at his home where they paid his Dad and family respects and shared their grief with one another.

G.R. was a good friend to many, a loving son, and brother, and, in my book a hero.

I pray he is at peace at his mother’s side with God. May his contributions and sacrifices to his country not go unnoticed or forgotten.

Please feel free to offer any condolences you might wish to offer to his family.

Here are his poems once again: Continue reading ‘Iraqi War Veteran struck and killed by Amtrak Passenger train’

Glenn Beck “Restoring Honor” D.C. rally

    Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck had his “Restoring Honor” rally in D.C. Saturday, the 28th.. Sarah Palin was among the guest speakers. My son and I came up from Richmond, Virginia. It took us from 7:30 a.m. to 11:36 a.m. to get on the subway at Franconia and arrive at the monument!! The subway platforms were empty for all practical purposes. The security man allowed only about 20 or so people at a time to enter the kiosk to buy tickets and board. When we left we were not allowed to board at the Smithsonian. We had to go to L’Enfant? But, when we came up over the hill and saw the crowd of people spreading in all directions as far as the eye could see; and, listened to the music, singers, and speakers, especially Glenn, it was all worth it!! Absolutely awesome!!

I heard there were a million people there from sources throughout the crowd. Though that is not an official tally, I would not be surprised if the actual numbers are not actually higher. My son took some great pictures and some movies with his phone. If he can find a way for me to use some of them here, I will post them later.

I missed Sarah’s speech; but, heard Glenn speak. His words about our founding principles, faith, hope, and charity, were especially moving. Check out Glenn’s blog and read his post and see the pictures he has for the event. While you’re there, go to his home page and check out his site.
