Hackathon theme:

The Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is the public transportation system serving Edmonton, Alberta, consisting of buses and a Light Rail Transit (LRT) network. It plays a crucial role in connecting residents across the city, reducing traffic congestion, lowering carbon emissions, and ensuring accessible, affordable mobility for all. For daily commuters, students, and visitors, ETS is a lifeline that enables easy and efficient travel. This hackathon focuses on ETS to enhance the rider experience by addressing challenges such as real-time tracking, route efficiency, accessibility, and user engagement. By leveraging technology and innovation, participants will develop solutions that make public transit more reliable, intuitive, and user-friendly.

 Hackathon Challenge:

How can you use technology to improve the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) experience?

Please ensure that you and your team are added to the private Devcon slack channel. If you are having issues accessing it, please reach out to Jeff Shon:  jshon@edmontonunlimited.com
