DetectorTools by Escort is a desktop companion app for compatible Escort and Beltronics radar detectors. Connect your detector via USB to keep it current and tailored to your driving needs. With DetectorTools, you can update firmware, download the latest Defender database of fixed speed and red-light cameras, and customize device settings—all from one place.

Key capabilities:

• Firmware updates to improve performance and add features
• Defender database updates for fixed speed and red-light camera locations (subscription may be required)
• Preference management, including bands, sensitivity modes, alert tones, display options, and other model-specific settings
• Backup and restore of device settings and user-marked locations
• Device information at a glance, including serial number and current firmware/database versions

Compatibility and requirements:

• Works with select Escort and Beltronics models; features vary by detector
• Some newer models may require Detector Tools Pro or update via built-in Wi-Fi
• Windows or macOS computer, USB connection, and internet access required
