DeskTask is a great application that displays different Outlook items on Windows desktop such as Tasks, Meetings, and Notes. They are displayed in the form of a list with no background, so the wallpaper remains visible.

This is a really useful program as the users can keep visible their meetings or notes at the top of the desktop with no need of having to switch to Outlook and waiting for it to refresh or connect to the exchange server.

DeskTask displays the complete week to organize your work easily. In addition, it shows the to-do list which includes Tasks and Notes. The items can be moved around the desktop by dragging them from the header to the desired place. The program also supports dual monitor display; for this reason, there is an option called 'Restore Position', which makes the application return to the edge of Windows bar.

Cleartype technology, which is new to this version, has been used to display the text properly on screen while leaving the background transparent. The application is also compatible with Windows 7. There is also an option to colorize tasks that are due for the current day.

According to the creators, if DeskTask doesn’t start, it is due to damaged Outlook installation, but the problem can be solved by repairing Microsoft Outlook.
