Good design matters.
It touches everything around us. It drives innovation. And it has the power to make life better for everyone.
We make sense of the world for the benefit of the public. Our rigorous programs prepare students to develop solutions that serve the greater good, and our research has life-changing impact.

We’re incredibly grateful for this community.
Thank you for showing up and making your mark this #GivingPack.
Because of you, our students are better equipped to design what comes next.
Grateful is an understatement.
Thanks to Dan Solomon, a new planned gift will create the Carolyn Solomon Experiential Learning Endowment honoring his late wife and opening doors for Design students through study abroad, research and service learning for years to come.
This is what Day of Giving is all about: creating opportunities that last far beyond today.
⏳ Only 3 hours left to make your mark.

Your participation through giving, posting and sharing also unlocks bonus funding that goes to work immediately.
Give. Share. Post. Pull someone else in.
When we make our mark together, it adds up fast.
March 25. Let’s make it count.

There are countless ways to make your mark. All of them are personal.
Before Susan Toplikar passed away in 2020, she and her husband Mike Cindric created a special fund to support the career development of students in the Media Arts, Design and Technology (MADTech) program.
Now, through the assistance of the Susan Toplikar Fund, design students are gaining access to studios, design professionals and creative leaders throughout the triangle.
The Toplikar Fund is one of many initiatives at the College of Design that pave the way for our students to succeed.
On March 25, make your mark, your way. Visit the link in our bio to see how. #GivingPack
If you’ve ever pulled an all-nighter in the Matsumoto Wing we want to see it.
As we wrap up a major renovation of Brooks Hall’s 1955 modernist addition, we’re looking back.
The best stories aren’t in the archives, but in your camera rolls, your hard drives, your old Facebook albums and maybe even your slide projector.
This space has shaped generations of designers, from first-year studios to late-night critiques under walls of glass that once redefined what a design school could be.
📸 Have photos from your time in the Matsumoto Wing? Send them (plus a little context: year, program, what’s happening) to collegeofdesign@ncsu.edu.
Help us build a fuller picture of this place through the people who actually lived in it.
Betsy Peters Rascoe is making her mark. 📍🐺
As an alumna, Leaders Council member and owner of Design Dimension, Betsy continues to show up for our students, from donating materials to our Materials Lab to supporting the next generation of designers who haven’t yet entered college.
This Day of Giving, she’s supporting the Design Lab for K–12 Education, which provides immersive programs like Design Camp for middle and high school students across North Carolina.
Future designers start somewhere. Programs like this help them discover what’s possible.
Join Betsy and Design Dimension by #GivingPack on March 25.
Let’s get to work. 💪
