Deployed Medicine is an innovative learning service developed to supplement the medical education and training of U.S. military personnel, although some of the medical content could be broadly applied for use by civilian medical providers. The information contained in this app is designed to serve as a supplementary resource to reinforce prior training, and to help you deliver high quality trauma care in deployed settings. The medical content currently focuses on tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) training for combat medical personnel, and includes topics, such as hemorrhage control, airway management, hypothermia, pain control and care of wounds and splinting etc. TCCC focuses of providing the information you need to know to assess, treat and stabilize a patient at the point of injury. Additional content will be added over time to cover a broad range of military trauma training resources ranging from the most basic training, suitable for non-medical military personnel, and more advanced material for doctors, nurses and physicians assistants. Features: . Pocket Guides offer short and compact learning modules. . Videos from peers teach you “how-to” perform a skill in under 3 minutes, and other information. . Podcasts provide key updates from experts. . Reference Repository contains important reference materials or the “why” behind the techniques and information being taught. . The app is designed to work online and offline to accommodate use in the field and while traveling abroad. . In app alerts will keep you up-to-date and connected to the latest information. The Deployed Medicine app was created by a multidisciplinary team of medical, learning and software engineers in close collaboration with U.S. military experts. All medical content contained in this app was reviewed and approved by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care, which is composed of trauma experts from across the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. The Deployed Medicine app is a research and development effort sponsored by the Defense Health Agency in Falls Church, Virginia.

Numerous bug fixes and improvements. 1.7.10 02/15/2023 This release adds official iOS 16 support in addition to a bevy of bug fixes and general improvements. 1.7.9 11/29/2022 Fixes a bug that prevented some content from appearing in a collection. 1.7.8 04/07/2022 * Users are no longer required to validate a dot mil email address in order to take an instructor-led class as long as they have the class registration code (self-directed courses still require validation). * Various bug fixes and visual tweaks. 1.7.7 04/06/2022 * Fixes a bug that could cause the app to crash when viewing PDFs. * Numerous other bug fixes and under the hood improvements. 1.7.6 03/24/2022 This release addresses a few bugs that were discovered in the previous version, including one that could cause the app to crash upon launch. 1.7.5 03/16/2022 * iOS 15 support. * New enrolled course action button allows you to link back to the course detail view, in addition to prior actions that were previously only accessible via a long-press. * Fixes a bug where carousel banners were not being displayed properly. * Several other minor bug fixes. 1.7.4 01/28/2022 Bug fixes: * Fixes inability of some users to register for courses. * Fixes a potential crash when attempting to resume a book that was closed with expanded groups. 1.7.3 04/03/2021 This version includes the following new features: - Class Module Quizzes. Learners can now take quizzes that have been added to a class module by instructors/content authors. - Instructor View Tutorials. When an instructor navigates to the All Classes and Learners lists within the Instructor View for the first time, they will be presented with a short tutorial highlighting the main features of those respective views. - Improved Learner filtering in Instructor View. Instructors can now filter learners by class in addition to status within the All Learners view. Several visual improvements have also been made to the filtering interface. Several (virtual) bugs were squashed in the making of this release. 1.7.2 02/03/2021 - External Apps: Content creators can now add apps to a collection that link to an app in the Apple App Store. - Improvements to Instructor View:  -- Onboarding screen the first time an instructor signs in. -- Visual improvements. - Bug fixes. 1.7.1 12/21/2020 This release introduces the Instructor View. This initial version allows instructors to: - View details for each of their classes, including the course code. - View the learners enrolled in their classes and their status. - Mark a learner's class status as complete. - Remove a learner from a class. On sign in, users that have been designated as instructors by their account admin can access this view by tapping on the new icon in the upper-left corner of the "Courses" tab navigation bar. It is also accessible via the new "Enter Instructor View" row in the "More..." tab. As always, we are constantly refining the app to give you a better overall experience. As part of that effort, a number of general improvements and bug fixes also went into this release. 1.7.0 11/10/2020 - Dark mode! The long-awaited dark mode support has finally arrived for your nighttime (or all the time, if that's how you roll) viewing pleasure. - Fixes a launch crash on devices running iOS 12. 1.6.4 09/03/2020 We continue to enhance the course taking experience, with the following new features in this release: - Support for self directed courses in addition to instructor led courses. With self directed courses, completion occurs automatically based on passing the final assessment rather than an instructor determining completion status. - Support for tracking media progress based on time spent in addition to duration. This is now selectable by the course author in the creator web tool. - Several fixes and improvements to the course taking experience and other parts of the app. 1.6.3 07/08/2020 This release adds new features to courses, including the following: - Support for enforcing module sequence - Progress color coding - End assessment - Completion certificate And as always, we took the opportunity to squash a few bugs discovered in the prior release. 1.6.2 03/19/2020 For our users still rocking iOS 12, this release fixes a bug in the previous release that caused a crash when tapping on a Collection. 1.6.1 01/09/2020 - This release introduces instructor-led courses. You can now register for courses that your instructor is teaching and prepare for classroom instruction.
