Delisting

Eets was first delisted from Steam on October 15th, 2015 in a move that was originally speculated to be caused by compatibility issues with modern PCs. The game remained available on Xbox 360 until April 13, 2023. It was included in a list of games that Microsoft announced would no longer be available for purchase on February 7th, 2023. While the game remained listed until April 13th, the game may have become unpurchaseable sometime before that date.

Then on June 11th, 2026, Klei made a surprise announcement on Steam, confirming that the game had been updated and returned to the storefront, now free to all players as a way to commemorate the studio’s 20th anniversary. The announcement also confirmed earlier speculation about the game’s cause for delisting.

Some time back, Eets, the very first game released by Klei Entertainment, became too old to play on modern PCs, and in 2015 it was delisted and no longer available for purchase.

In an effort to preserve the game for ourselves and our fans, we’ve updated the game to be playable once again, and we’re releasing the game free of charge to commemorate our 20th anniversary.

We’ve come a long way, and we appreciate every one of you who has supported us on this adventure.
