MAGA lunatics target Renee Good’s 6-year-old child

BREAKING: MAGA lunatics target Renee Good’s 6-year-old child by flooding his school with harassment and threats — forcing them to switch to online-only classes.

From a reputable Facebook source. Not identified out of fear of MAGA reprisals

If you were wondering how low MAGA outrage culture can sink, here’s your answer: they’re terrorizing a 26-student elementary school because a grieving 6-year-old goes there.

After Minnesota mother Renee Good was shot and killed by a federal immigration officer, profit-hungry right-wing media and callous MAGA influencers didn’t stop at smearing her. They went after her son’s school, too.

Southside Family Charter School, a small, community-centered K-5 school where kids eat meals together, mentor one another, and take field trips, was forced to move classes online after a flood of threats poured in. Why? Because the New York Post and MAGA social media mobs decided the school’s social justice curriculum made it a political target.

Let that sink in: a school teaching kids empathy and history is now being treated like a crime scene.

The school’s “offense”? Teaching about George Floyd’s murder. Posting a sign reminding ICE that they need a judicial warrant to enter. Encouraging staff to follow the law and protect students. In MAGA world, that’s apparently enough to justify threats, harassment, and calls to defund a school full of children.

Right-wing accounts went full conspiracy mode, claiming without evidence that Renee Good was a “domestic terrorist,” that the school “trained” her to fight federal agents, and that her death was somehow justified. One TikTok pushing this garbage racked up more than 100,000 views.

And then came the feckless politicians.

Republican Rep. Buddy Carter of Georgia, safely hundreds of miles away, demanded that all federal funding be stripped from the school, calling it “anti-American.” Because nothing screams patriotism like punishing traumatized kids and educators for not worshipping ICE.

This is the MAGA playbook in plain sight:
Dehumanize the victim.
Smear the community.
Target the children.

School leaders, who are trying to grieve while protecting their students, shut down social media and pulled their online presence just to stop the threats. Still, they emphasized what MAGA rage can’t erase — the fact that the community has rallied around them.

This isn’t about safety. It’s not about education. It’s not about the law. It’s about sending a message: If you question authority, teach history honestly, or dare to humanize immigrants, MAGA will come for you—even if you’re a tiny school full of children mourning their friend’s mom.

They silenced Renee Good with bullets; now they’re trying to silence her son’s classroom with false words.

Please like and share to spread the disgust!

Degrowing US power: Trump’s Hemispheric Overreach and the Limits of American Power

The ultimate paradox is that the Donroe Doctrine, presented as a restoration of American strength, may accelerate American decline in the hemisphere. By treating Latin American countries as objects rather than partners, by demanding they choose between Washington and Beijing, and by threatening military action as a first resort rather than a last one, the United States is pushing regional actors toward exactly the kind of hedging and diversification strategies that will reduce American influence.

CNN: President Donald Trump has formally pardoned former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández

President Donald Trump has formally pardoned former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, according to his attorney Renato Stabile and a White House official.

Trump had announced his intention of granting a “full and complete pardon” to Hernández last week in a move thaterases a major US drug-trafficking conviction for a onetime US ally.

President of Honduras from 2014 until 2022, Hernández was convicted and sentenced last year to 45 years in prison and given an $8 million fine by a US judge for drug trafficking offenses.

Both Republican and Democratic members of Congress had criticized Trump’s plan to pardon Hernández over the weekend, with some saying they didn’t understand the president’s decision given the administration’s efforts to stop drug trafficking.

Guardian: Could urban farming feed the world?

In 1982, artist Agnes Denes planted 2.2 acres of wheat on waste ground in New York’s Battery Park, near the recently completed World Trade Center. The towers soared over a golden field, as if dropped into Andrew Wyeth’s bucolic painting Christina’s World. Denes’s Wheatfield: A Confrontationwas a challenge to what she called a “powerful paradox”: the absurdity of hunger in a wealthy world.

The global population in 1982 was 4.6 billion. By 2050, it will be more than double that, and the prospect of feeding everyone looks uncertain. Food insecurity already affects 2.3 billion people. Covid-19 and extreme weather have revealed the fragility of the food system. Denes was called a prophet for drawing attention to ecological breakdown decades before widespread public awareness. But perhaps she was prophetic, too, in foreseeing how we would feed ourselves. By 2050, more than two-thirds of us will live in cities. Could urban farming feed 10 billion?

Radar revelation stokes fears Caribbean could be drawn into US-Venezuela crisis | Trump administration | The Guardian

The revelation that Trinidad and Tobago has approved the installation of a US military radar installation has stoked fears that the Caribbean could be drawn into the escalating crisis between the US and Venezuela.

Trinidad and Tobago’s prime minister, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, had attempted to allay concerns about a US C-17 aircraft that had landed in the country, claiming it was carrying marines to assist with a road construction project. She also claimed she was told that no marines remained in the country.

But images and videos later emerged of US marines at a Tobago hotel and of a radar installation on the island.

After being pressed by reporters, Persad-Bissessar admitted on Friday that at least 100 marines were in the country, along with a military-grade radar, believed to be a long-range, high-performance AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR , which US Northrop Grumman defence company said is used for air surveillance, defense and counter-fire.

The prime minister claimed the radar installation in the country, which is only seven miles away from Venezuela at its closest point, is part of a counter-drug trafficking strategy, and that she had withheld details in the interest of national security and to avoid alerting drug traffickers.

Persad-Bissessar has consistently expressed strong support for the US military buildup in the Caribbean. Since September, the US has launched at least 21 airstrikes on alleged drug smugglers in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, killing more than 80 people – including several Trinidadian citizens.

Counterpunch: Corporate power is derailing climate justice

Analysis from the Kick Big Polluters Out coalition shows more than 1,600 fossil fuel lobbyists have been granted access to COP30 in Belém, Brazil. That means one in every 25 participants represents the industry that is accelerating climate chaos. Lobbyists from ExxonMobil, BP, TotalEnergies, and major trade associations roam freely while delegates from the ten most climate-vulnerable nations combined are vastly outnumbered. Indigenous peoples and civil society activists are squeezed to the margins, sometimes literally, as protestors blockaded entrances to be heard. Meanwhile, fossil fuel executives are in the rooms where decisions or the lack thereof will shape our collective future.
