AX was basically a bunch of firsts for me. Traveling alone for the first time. First convention. First time in LA. First time at AX (and possibly last for a long time). First time meeting Shinn-chan (and possibly last although I wish it weren't like that). First time meeting Julian. First time meeting a bunch of other people. First time attending a concert (Anamanaguchi & Porter Robinson). First time hearing a Japanese singer live (Takahashi Yoko). First time eating A5 Wagyu beef... The list could go on and on...

So I fell in love with Caron Simply Soft but Caron Simply Soft seems like old news already. I recently made a purchase from Knit Picks and fell in love with their Comfy line. Almost nothing can compare already; it's just that wonderful. Unfortunately it's also twice the price of the Dishie line and far more expensive than common store brands. Oh a sad note I also fell in love with bulky yarns which kinda means I still have to be on the search for something to satisfy me since Comfy isn't available in a bulky weight.

In terms of needles I still don't know what I want/need yet. I'm really eager to get some double-pointed needles but I'm not certain about what size(s) to get. On top of that I also want to learn crochet and thus need hooks for that as well. Ironically my mother mentioned to me that she knew how to crochet and would have some but I have no idea and last she knew she'd forgotten how to crochet even.

And thus my search for yarns and needles must continue until I'm satisfied.
