Within the site of the former Naccolt Brickworks, DDS Group delivered a complete site demolition and remediation package, in response to arising flooding issues. The project was conducted in two phases consisting of demolition of the former brickworks, including drying sheds, kilns, production buildings and stores, followed by site clearance and remediation.
Hazardous material spanning across the site was converted into non-hazardous waste, and placed back into the site, via excavated cells dug into the ground. The material was capped off efficiently, ensuring the site remained level and safe. Regarding the flood alleviation works, manageable wells were strategically created to discharge water from the artesian well on site.
Demolition of non-listed and no-curtilage listed commercial buildings, whilst protecting grade II listed buildings on site.
