I am an accomplished engineering manager with more than 20 years experience working on and building for the web. As the Engineering Director at Modern Tribe, I have the privilege of cultivating a team of exceptional developers and working with our talented designers, strategists, and project managers to build amazing websites and web applications. I’ve led complex projects for a wide variety of clients including brands such as Disney, Harvard University, Major League Baseball, and Microsoft.
I love solving complex architectural problems, developing processes, and fostering healthy teams. While I've had stints working in-office, the vast majority of my career has been remote-first. Digital collaboration, self-motivation, and clear communication are an innate part of who I am. I'm excited to work with a team of creative engineers who are passionate about their work, energized by learning new methods & technologies, and enthusiastic about contributing to the greater web community.

I helped to define the tools and practices that we use, provided leadership and training for more junior team members, and provided architectural guidance for client work. On a daily basis, I defined requirements and scope, wrote code for both frontend and backend applications, performed code reviews, participated in client conversations, assisted with sales and recruiting, and contributed to the engineering team culture.
