Odds?

Anyone know the whether Ladbrokes are taking bets as to whether Gary Glitter will be on Celebrity Big Brother next year? If so, what odds are they offering?

Just read here that the government is planning to sell off more of the spectrum. Not having or wanting to have Sky at home, nor VirginMedia (or whatever NTL is called nowadays) this could mean that many of us won't be able to access HDTV in years to come. Not one for forwarding petitions, this is one I'd ask as many people to sign as possible.

Food for thought

Has anyone else noticed that Mars "Believe" bars are now back to Mars bars. I guess that they didn't believe England would get this far.

First open source software

Then open source beer.

Now, an open source cafe

Any ideas as to what will be next? Open source public transport? Open source sauce?

Open source beer

Just read this article on the BBC. It's nice to see the open source idea spreading to other areas of the world.

I got off at Green Park, in order to get a bus the rest of the way. Anyway, at the bus stop someone had left a small woman's bag.
A gentleman next to me asked me whether it was my bag. I told him no, so becoming quite anxious, he started waving at the two
police officers on the other side of the road. They seemed to start that avoiding eye contact thing that only waiters normally tend to do,
so he ran out in-front of the oncoming traffic, stopping cars and buses alike and started shouting at them "there's an unattended bag there". They strolled over, peered into the bag, picked it up and casually walked down to the tube station to hand it to lost property.

I'm not sure whether to be worried that people are overreacting to the events last week, or that the police are being very casual about the whole thing.
